Made it to Friday again. So here’s Dick’s Details. Dick’s Details is part of every podcast. It’s a bunch of totally un-important stuff for you to stuff in one ear, so you can squeeze the important stuff that clangs around in your head all day out the other ear, and you can enjoy some of the sounds of silence. According to “Archeology” magazine, recent discoveries have revealed the brand of coffee that was served on the Titanic. It was Sanka. Bad choice. If the answer is “A police flashlight” what is the question. According to “Cosmo”, the average American woman kisses 79 men before she gets married. No report on how many men some girls kiss after they get married. Henry Ford grew marijuana. He said he was hoping to make plastic out of it. Riiggghht. If the answer is “A police flashlight” the question is, “What broke up most of your teenage relationships.” The cops around my way had to be fast with their flashlights. In my neighborhood, putting the car in neutral was considered foreplay. Dick’s Details. They take your mind off your mind. Quick reminder. If you like the podcasts, or the spoken word cds at dick summer.com or my book Staying Happy Healthy and Hot…please tell a couple of friends. They might like them too, and you’d be doing me a favor. Thanks.

Thursday, March 30th, 2017“TIPS” at a restaurant stands for “To Insure Prompt Service.” Today’s podcast is about a waitress who’s service was so “TIPPY” that I doubled her tip. We both enjoyed the experience immensely.

Wednesday, March 29th, 2017“The agony of de-feet”…on a pair of skis, zooming down a mountain, hurtling around trees…is part of what today’s podcast is all about. Please give it a listen…before it’s too late. “Safety first.”

Tuesday, March 28th, 2017According to today’s podcast, fantasies, dreams and hopes are all different things. That’s why there’s no such thing as a hopeless lover. Dream lover…sure. Fantasy lover…sure again. But hope is the vitamin that makes love the most powerful force. Even more powerful than fear. When you think about it, love is what gave us all belly buttons.

Saturday, March 25th, 2017There are some few things women just can’t understand about us. One of the more important of those things is that men need to be constantly on guard. We have to be prepared for any important, un-expected crises. War. Famine. Loss of electricity. A wild mouse getting loose in the neighborhood. Today’s podcast explains the need for men to be constantly being on guard, and why that keeps us from doing less important things. Like washing dishes, or taking out the trash. Which would you women want…clean dishes with a mouse running up your leg, or you do the dishes so we can guard against wild mice? YOU CAN’T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. We need to stay constantly on guard. Suppose you look out the car window and see something like this? You need us to be prepared…to take control.

Friday, March 24th, 2017TGIF, so it’s time for one of the most popular features of today’s podcast, Dick’s Details. Dick’s Details is a bunch of totally un-important stuff for you to stuff in one ear so you can squeeze the important nasty stuff that’s getting you grim out the other ear, and just for a minute, you can relax, grab a grin and win. If you’re dyslexic you read things backwards. So a dyslexic atheist wouldn’t believe in doG. If the answer is “That’s why most American babies are born in late August and early September” what is the question. Glen Burke of the L.A. Dodgers is credited with inventing the high five in 1977. The high five is a fun thing but it’s a weird name. The high five. It sounds like a drunken basketball team. And the first pilot to fly over both the north and south poles had a perfect pilot name…Admiral Richard Bird. I’ll bet his friends called him Dickie Bird. Oh…if the answer is “Most American babies are born in late August and early September,” the question is, “What were most Americans doing on New Years…New Years Eve?” I’m surprised that more kids aren’t named New Year’s Eve…Dick’s Details. They take your mind off your mind.
A little housekeeping here, if you like the podcasts, or the blogs, or my book Staying Happy Healthy And Hot, please tell a couple of friends. They might like them too, and you’d be doing me a favor. Thanks.
